The grip is probably the most talked about area of the swing in terms of instruction. As a matter of fact, I don't think I have ever seen someone getting a lesson who is NOT told to alter their grip somehow.
Head shape, weighting scheme and club face material contribute heavily to the feel and performance of a given putter. But the component that influences swing more than anything else is the shape and location of the putter's hosel (the portion of the putter that connects the clubhead to the shaft).
